Welcome to the wonderful world of competitive swimming with Surfside Swim Team

Surfside has been training youth for competitive swimming since 1969. We are located in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County.

We are dedicated to providing swimmers with the opportunity to become the best they can be. Our program offers a wealth of experiences to swimmers, including friendship, discipline, independence, goal setting, skills building,  and coping with victory and defeat. Surfside swimmers start as young as four years old and continue with the team through high school. Many later return with their children to train with the team.

Surfside is a member of USA Swimming (USAS) and the Southern California Aquatic Association (SCAA). These organizations provide our swimmers with a wide range of competitive swimming opportunities from dual meets between two teams to invitational meets between 15 or more teams. SCAA is comprised of teams from the Los Angeles area which are committed to providing youth with high quality training and competition. SCAA teams are also members of USAS, the national organization that oversees all levels of swim training in the United States, from beginning age group to Olympic and Masters level swimmers. Our local branch of USAS is Southern California Swimming (SCS). SCS teams range from San Luis Obispo in the north to Mission Viejo in the south, and as far east as Boulder City, Nevada.
