Nichole “Nikki” Hazlewood brings over 25 years of coaching experience to the pool. She began her journey in aquatics after earning her Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification, teaching young children ages 3 months to 12 years as a summer swim coach for Redondo Beach Unified School District.

From there, Nikki expanded her work into private swim instruction and began teaching at the Bay Club in Redondo Beach. It was at Bay Club that she joined the Masters Swim group as a swimmer — and before long, transitioned into coaching. She has now been a Masters Swim coach at the Bay Club for over 20 years.

In addition to her work in the water, Nikki is a dedicated educator. She holds a California Teaching Credential and has spent the last 20 years teaching elementary school in Redondo Beach.

Her combined passions for swimming and education make her a natural and encouraging coach, helping swimmers of all ages develop their skills and love for the sport.
