December 2025 Redondo Union & Begg Workouts

The weekday schedule will be shifting a bit earlier due to the shift to high school sports seasons and will be closed for the hoidays:

Redondo Union High School (RUHS): The pool will be closed for between 12/24 - 1/3 for the Christmas & New Years holidays:

• Monday: practice will be from 5:30 - 6:15 for B's and 6:15 - 7:15 for A's & Snr's with the following exceptions due to Water Polo games:
  • 12/8 the B’s will practice from 7 – 7:45pm & A’s & Snr’s will practice from 7:45 – 8:30pm
  • 12/15 the B’s will practice from 6:30 – 7:30pm & A’s & Snr’s will practice from 7:30 – 8:30pm
  • 12/22 the B’s will practice from 5 – 6pm & A’s & Snr’s will practice from 6 – 7pm
  • There will be no practice 12/29 as the pool will be closed for the holidays
• Tuesday & Thursday: practice will be from 5:30 - 6:30 for B's & C's, 6:30 - 7:30 for C+'s, and A's & Snr's.
  •  Begining 12/9 the A's & Snr's will practice from 6:30 - 8pm 
  • ​12/23 the B's & C's will practice from 5 - 6pm & C+'s, A's & Snr's from 6 - 7pm.
  • There will be no practice 12/25, 12/30 & 1/1as the pool will be closed for the holidays
• Wednesday: practice will be from 6:20 - 7:05 for B's, C's & C+'s and 7:05 - 8:05 for A's & Snr's.
  • There will be no practice 12/24 & 12/31 as the pool will be closed for the holidays
• Saturday 12/6 we wil be offering a special Start & Turn clinic from 3 - 5 pm. 
• Sunday: we will continue with our Sunday Stroke & Turn workouts for All Groups from 11 AM – 12 PM.
  • There will be no practice on 12/28 as the pool will be closed for the holidays.

Redondo Union High School Aquatics Center is an outdoor, heated 15-lane, 25-yard pool with covered bleacher seating. Address: 499 El Redondo Ave, RB, CA 90278. Access from Vincent Street and El Redondo Ave. Parking is available in the main parking lot on Diamond & the softball parking lot on Vincent. During the week, please make sure your child is safe walking through the parking lot, as it tends to be crowded in the evenings.

Begg Pool:

• Friday: B's, C's & C+'s will practice from 6:00 - 7:00 PM and A's & Snr's will practice from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. On Friday 12/12 ALL Groups will practice from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
• Tuesday 12/30 B's will practice from 5:00 - 6:00 PM and A's & Snr's will practice from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

In lieu of practice, we will have our annual Holiday Party at Begg Pool on December 5^th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Sign-up HERE to attend (please note how many people from your family will join) and sign up HERE to bring drinks and desserts.

Begg Pool is an outdoor, heated 6-lane, 25-yard recreational pool in Manhattan Beach. Address: 1402 North Peck Avenue. Parking on Peck Avenue. Follow the path past the Botanical Garden towards Polliwog Park and veer left to enter Begg Pool.

Health Check

1. Do you have a fever over 99.9?
2. Do you have a persistent cough?
3. Are you experiencing shortness of breath?
4. Do you have chills or repeated shaking with chills?
5. Do you have muscle pains and aches?
6. Do you have a sore throat?
7. Are you experiencing new loss of taste or smell?
8. Have you experienced any gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite?

If the answer to any of these questions is "YES", do not come to workout. Thank you.
