January 2026 Redondo Union & Begg Workouts

The weekday schedule will be shifting around this month due to the high school waterpolo season impacting pool availability:

Redondo Union High School (RUHS): The pool will be closed for between 12/24 - 1/3 for the Christmas & New Years holidays:

• Monday: practice will be from 5:30 - 6:30 PM for B's and 6:30 - 7:30 PM for A's & Snr's.
  • There will be no practice 1/19 as the pool will be closed for MLK Day
  • Practice on 1/26 will be B's from 5:00 - 6:00 PM and A's & Snr's from 6:00 - 7:00PM
• Tuesday: practice will be from 5:00 - 6:00 PM for B's & C's, 6:00 - 7:00 PM for C+'s, and 6:00 - 8:00 PM for A's & Snr's.
  • ​Practice on 1/6 will be 6:00 - 7:00 PM for B's & C's, 7:00 - 8:00 PM for C+'s, and 7:00 - 8:45 PM for A's & Snr's.
• Wednesday: the practice schedule is currently in flux--please check back for updates. As of this moment:
  • Practice on 1/7 will be at Begg Pool
  • Practice on 1/14 will be at Begg Pool
  • ​Practice on 1/21 will be from 7:15 - 8:30 PM for A's & Snr's only
  • Practice on 1/28 will be from 8:15 - 9:15 for B's, A's & Snr's
• Thursday:  practice will be shifting weekly:
  • Practice on 1/8 will be from 5:30 - 6:30 PM for B's & C's and 6:30 - 7:30 PM for C+, A's & Snr's​
  • Practice on 1/15 will be from 6:00 - 7:00 PM for B's & C's and 7:00 - 8:00 PM for C+, A's & Snr's
  • Practice on 1/22 will be at Begg Pool
  • Practice on 1/29 will be from 5:00 - 6:00 PM for B's & C's and 6:00 - 7:00 PM for C+, A's & Snr's
• Sunday: we will continue with our Sunday Stroke & Turn workouts for All Groups from 11 AM – 12 PM.

Redondo Union High School Aquatics Center is an outdoor, heated 15-lane, 25-yard pool with covered bleacher seating. Address: 499 El Redondo Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Access from Vincent Street and El Redondo Ave. Parking is available in the main parking lot on Diamond & the softball parking lot on Vincent. During the week, please make sure your child is safe walking through the parking lot, as it tends to be crowded in the evenings.

Begg Pool:

• Friday: B's, C's & C+'s will practice from 6:00 - 7:00 PM and A's & Snr's will practice from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. 
• Wednesday 1/7 & 1/14 Practice is from 8-9 PM for B's, A's & Snr's
• Thursday 1/22 Practice is TBD

Begg Pool is an outdoor, heated 6-lane, 25-yard recreational pool in Manhattan Beach. Address: 1402 North Peck Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Parking on Peck Avenue. Follow the path past the Botanical Garden towards Polliwog Park and veer left to enter Begg Pool.

Health Check

1. Do you have a fever over 99.9?
2. Do you have a persistent cough?
3. Are you experiencing shortness of breath?
4. Do you have chills or repeated shaking with chills?
5. Do you have muscle pains and aches?
6. Do you have a sore throat?
7. Are you experiencing new loss of taste or smell?
8. Have you experienced any gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite?

If the answer to any of these questions is "YES", do not come to workout. Thank you.
